Summer has 42 crops in the catalog. Three distinct profit strategies dominate:

Strategy 1 — Pineapple Juice Chain (recommended for Year 1):

Pineapple is the best first-year summer crop. It requires only Town Rank D, and the chain is simple: harvest → Keg → Juice.

  • Seed cost: 125g (moderate)
  • Regrows: every 7 days
  • Raw sell price: 150g base
  • Juice sell price: significantly higher (processed goods always beat raw)
  • The Pineapple → Juice route is the most accessible high-profit summer strategy. Plant your entire farm in Pineapple if you have kegs ready.

Strategy 2 — Lily Honey Chain (advanced):

Lily is the highest-profit summer crop when paired with honey houses.

  • Lily honey sells for more per unit than Pineapple juice
  • However: Lily cannot be jarred, requires honey house infrastructure, and has slower capital recovery
  • Not recommended for year one unless you have 5+ honey houses built
  • Best for year two+ when you have excess capital and infrastructure

Strategy 3 — Wheat Beer Chain (low investment):

Wheat is the lowest-investment processing chain in summer.

  • Seed cost: only 15g
  • Growth time: short
  • Beer sell price: 300-400g per unit
  • ROI ratio is extremely high (15g invested → 300-400g returned)
  • Downside: long processing time in keg, lower per-unit profit than Pineapple juice
  • Ideal as a side crop alongside Pineapple

Other notable summer crops:

  • Melon — 12-day single harvest, high single-sale value. Good for keg processing. Higher investment than Wheat but better per-unit return.
  • Hot Pepper — 3-day regrowth cycle. Fast cycling but low per-unit value. Best used for Mason Jar processing into sriracha sauce. Requires automation (sprinklers + auto-harvest) to be worthwhile, as manual harvesting is tedious.
  • Tomato — 4-day regrowth. Versatile crop for jar processing (pickles) and cooking. Moderate profit.
  • Starfruit — High sell price, single harvest. Strong profit per day if you can afford the seed.
  • Coffee Bean — Produces in summer. Low direct value but coffee is a useful processed good and daily energy source.

Summer is the best season for regrowing crops. Plant all regrowers on day 1 to maximise total harvests. If you have sprinklers, prioritise Pineapple and Melon. If you have honey houses, plant Lily alongside your food crops.

Processing priority for summer harvest:

  1. Keg: Pineapple (juice), Grape (wine if available), Wheat (beer), Melon (juice)
  2. Honey House: Lily (honey)
  3. Mason Jar: Tomato (pickles), Hot Pepper (sriracha)
  4. Aging Barrel: Age high-value wine and honey for additional profit multiplier
